I think Virginia's budget shortfalls this year and for the past 2 years reflect Tim Kaine's absolute refusal to reach across party lines and be just a little bipartisan.

Kaine could not hold Mark Warner's jock strap as far as being a good governmor is concerned.

There aren't many governors from the past 50 years from any state that can hold Mark Warner's jock strap. That is who I was hoping would run for President. Cleaned up Gilmoures mess and then had the state in good enough shape that Kaine couldn't ruin it. Warner's the bomb.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....

If Warner ends up running for president you might see me running around Wise Co like R13 trying to get people to vote for him. From a pure political point of view, I'd love to see Warner vs. Palin. That would be one hell of a race.

More likely Warner v. Romney. 2 Economic Titans in 2012.

I believe that Warner is running for Senate in order to further legitimize himself as a presidential candidate and cultivate some D.C. relationships. (Not that he necessarily needs either).

Barring any 'macacca' Warner will be a presidential candidate in one of the next 2 cycles. He was smart enough to not get involved with the Bush mess and bide his time.

I'd like our chances against Romney more than Palin at this point. For some reason white men think Palin is the best thing since sliced bread.

At the present rate, 4 years will be too late. The country will be gone. And it all fell apart under the hero Bush. De-regulation at it's best. If you voted for someone and they fail badly , would it make you wonder about the person you thought was best for the job next time around?

To some degree.. but on the budgets? It boils down to - if you want to invade Iraq , you have to pay for it. If you want a better road, you have to pay for it. And the whole idea for free trade is good as long as you don't impose tons of taxes on American workers , but let the imports come into the country without paying for the same programs.
